The “Musterhaus K” of the “atelier I rheinruhr” with its linear design and squared floor plan is completely dedicated to the concept of the Bauhaus style.
However, modern elements and a clear division of the house into two different functional areas are not the only features that make the property interesting for the future.
Potential customers and interested parties can experience Smart Home live on the cubic surface in the show house of the atelier I rheinruhr.
On site, visitors can convince themselves of the system’s wide range of possibilities.
The in-house app from ubisys includes the option to create groups or scenes as desired.
These can be applied directly and tried out in the atelier I rheinruhr.
Intelligent modules such as the built-in ubisys blind controller J1 or the ubisys universal dimmer D1 can be the main components of scenes such as “Good morning” or “Dinnertime”.
In this case, light intensity provides the right mood.
For this reason, individual values and properties can be defined in the ubisys Smart Home app. This feature is decisive for the desired comfort.
The ubisys ecosystem allows the definition of links. All roller blinds in the show house raise and lower conveniently via one switch.
All installed flush-mounted components from ubisys are invisibly behind any switch or push-button.
For this project, in particular, the retrofitting of the modules was crucial for a successful conclusion of the show house, as the installation of an intelligent building control system was not included by the atelier I rheinruhr during the construction phase.
Since no extra cabling is required it was possible to install all ubisys products in a relaxed manner afterward.
Thanks to the integrated security system made up of products from third parties developers, the flat residents can trace unwanted activities even when they are away from home.
The pre-installed door and window contacts, motion detectors and, smoke detectors based on the Zigbee standard inform the owner of the show house via the ubisys Smart Home app of any abnormalities and discrepancies that occur in the building.
A further focus of the project was on the technical and energy-related building equipment, whose ecological approach was complemented by the components integrated by ubisys.
The current power consumption in the show house of the atelier I rheinruhr can be tracked in real-time on the ubisys app surface.
The many different configuration options avoid unnecessary costs, for instance, caused by devices in standby mode.
After the successful completion of the project, the building functions both as a private house and as a showhouse for the ubisys system.
