All ubisys Zigbee products ever made receive full update to Zigbee PRO 2023 Düsseldorf, Germany, April 17, 2023. It is our pleasure to announce that all ubisys products that feature a Zigbee interface receive a major upgrade to the latest and greatest: Zigbee PRO 2023. This even applies to products launched over a decade ago as well as the most recent product launches:
With this announcement ubisys once again underlines its commitment to keeping ubisys products already deployed in the field relevant for an unprecedented period of time. Combining five years of warranty and 10+ years of significant upgrades makes deciding for ubisys a no-brainer for private consumer households and business customers alike. This is a fundamentally longer support term than any other company in the Smart Home and even Commercial Building space has to offer. And way more than what is usual for smart phones, tablets and other consumer electronics. What’s more: All these devices are readily usable in Matter environments via the ubisys Gateway G1 featuring ubisys Conflux – the most advanced Zigbee/Matter bridge. As a key contributor to this giant standardization effort that took six years to complete we take pride in our Compact7B™ stack carrying forward its Zigbee Compliant Platform (ZCP) certification to Zigbee PRO 2023. Not just that: It has also been awarded the prestigious Golden Unit designation – once more setting the benchmark for interoperability, stability and performance. These updates come in two stages: Stage I rolls out the new Zigbee core stack and enables features that are agnostic of a specific protocol version. For example network-level retries, routing improvements and cross-vendor interoperability improvements. Stage I is being rolled out with immediate effect. Stage II flips the switch to enable all Zigbee 2023 features, which remain dormant until the successor to Zigbee 3.0 is finalized. Currently the ubisys Zigbee 3.0 stack is the only worldwide available Zigbee stack today that has full Zigbee 2023 PRO functionality. Select partners and system integrators may request samples with full Zigbee 2023 support to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for their customers. This approach allows us to balance bringing new features, improvements and enhancements to our valued customers in a timely manner while providing opportunity to partners and other alliance members to catch-up and finalize the Zigbee 3.0 successor program. This is ubisys: A responsible first-mover. We look forward to more Zigbee PRO 2023 devices hitting the market.
