The H1 radiator thermostat is a smart, battery-powered heating control with integrated temperature sensor for radiator heating systems and is used for efficient room temperature control in private and commercial facilities. Schedules provide the ability to automate temperature control. The H1 communicates wirelessly using the Zigbee international radio standard. Temperature control is performed manually on the device (stand-alone solution) or via app (e.g. ubisys Smart Home app). The H1 can be retrofitted at any time. With the Over-the-Air (OTA) firmware upgrade, this component always remains up to date. Customers can easily perform the installation themselves; an installer is not required.

Furthermore, ubisys presents for the first time at this year’s Light + Building a product series for the smart lighting sector: ubisys BLEND/Z. This smart radio module series is primarily designed for luminaire manufacturers and offers interested parties the possibility to upgrade their luminaires to Zigbee and Bluetooth. By integrating the module, manufacturers enable their customers the easiest way to set up and control, namely by directly connecting smartphones and tablets to their luminaires – without a hub! Another benefit is direct compatibility with other systems such as Amazon Echo, Ikea TRÅDFRI, Philips Hue and Apple Smart Home.
The module series is available in various form factors. Customer-specific adaptations are possible at any time. For the integration of the BLEND/Z, ubisys offers corresponding design-in services.
Based on the BLEND/Z module, the LD6 LED driver is now also available from ubisys. The LD6 is a smart Zigbee/BLE ballast for integration in luminaires, furniture or in suspended ceilings. Equipped with 6 channels, the LD6 is suitable for RGB, RGBW or WW/CW lighting fixtures. All 6 channels are configurable to provide a wide variety of lighting options. The RGB/RGBW color control allows infinitely variable adjustment of countless color shades. The “Tunable White” option can create natural light such as daylight, task lighting or pleasant living room light by continuously mixing cool and warm white – making it ideal for daylight simulations (HCL). Furthermore, the device has a push-button interface for local operation (e.g. for floor lamps) and a sensor interface. Due to its multi-radio protocol function, the LD6 makes luminaires Zigbee and Bluetooth (BLE) capable at the same time.

In terms of “state-of-the-art” technologies, ubisys is already one of the few companies worldwide to present a Matter-enabled bridge at L+B, thus manifesting its role as a technological pioneer. Matter is a new standard that is quickly becoming the universal language of the smart home and the IoT in general. It enables users to get the most out of their smart home or smart commercial building. Matter is ushering in a new era of smart home interoperability.
With the Gateway G1, ubisys has developed an extremely powerful bridge that brings together the two technologies, Zigbee and Matter, and combines the best of both worlds. Via a software update, existing ubisys customers will also soon have the new Matter technology at their disposal. The official Matter certification by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) is imminent.
