New in version 1.1.1
- We have added a super exciting new feature to LD6: This is the first publicly released firmware to include fully standard-compliant Zigbee Direct Device support based on our certified Golden Unit implementation of Zigbee Direct 1.0! This means you can use a smart phone, PC or speaker with Bluetooth, which runs a Zigbee Virtual Device app, to setup entry-level systems, control the LD6 or other native Zigbee devices in the wireless mesh network without actually needing a Zigbee hub! But even for hub-centric systems Zigbee Direct simplifies onboarding in systems that support Zigbee Direct commissioning flows. In addition, if your LD6 is operating in an environment that did not support advanced ubisys proprietary settings (e.g. input and output configurations) or the ecosystem did not deploy ubisys OTA firmware images, Zigbee Direct will remedy the lack of such ecosystem support. It will allow you to use the ubisys Smart Home app to directly connect to your LD6 and make these settings from there and also supply OTA firmware images from there in the future
- Modify default configuration for LD6 to use outputs D1…D4 for RGBW (as in previous versions) and additionally outputs D5 and D6 for a tunable white light source (D5 = cool white 6500K, D6 = warm white 2700K) on a second endpoint
- Added support for over-the-air configuration of outputs, e.g. up to 6 x dimmable or 3 x tunable white or 2 x RGB, or 1 x RGBW + 2 x dimmable or 1 x RGBW + 1 x tunable white etc. This setting is preserved across factory resets. Notice that the configuration change will take effect after a reboot and may result in added or removed end-points, modified device types (e.g. changing from dimmable light, extended color light, color temperature light), added or removed clusters and different color capabilities (full color vs. color temperature). It is recommended that after making output configuration changes a device and service discovery is triggered on controllers. If your controller does not support rediscovery then the device must be removed from the network and then joined to the system again
- Added ballast configuration cluster. This allows adjusting minimum and maximum light output, i.e. customizing the 1% and 100% light output levels to match your light source and usage environment
- Improved tunable white color mixing
- Increased PWM resolution for output channels and increased default PWM frequency
- Added new common production test access port (TAP) to LD6 firmware
ubisys Compact7B Stack Changes between 3.0.0 and 4.0.0

- Ongoing maintenance of the code base: Restructuring, refactoring and consolidating
- Round-up of bug-fixes and performance improvements
Note: This change log is a generic stack change log. Products incorporating the stack can choose to enable specific feature sets. For example, the 2023 feature set can be selectively disabled in products to support a graceful transition to Zigbee 2023 in progressive roll-outs. In addition, while the stack supports all variations of key agreement suites, end-products might support only a reasonable subset. Specifically, ubisys products will prefer SPEKE/Curve25519/AES-MMO-128/HMAC-AES-MMO-128 for all Zigbee 2023, Zigbee Direct 1.0 and digital signatures of OTA images as this suite provides the best blend of security, performance and resource utilization.
