With Zigbee 3.0, customers can expect seamless interoperability between Zigbee 3.0 products from different manufacturers as well as higher security, more reliable connections to battery-powered devices and support for battery-less, energy harvesting switches and sensors. “We expect that many vendors will join this important effort and provide Zigbee 3.0 products to offer consumers a better IoT experience. As products and platforms evolve, we’ll provide the 3.0 firmware editions via over-the-air upgrades to existing products”, Honarbacht added.

Zigbee Alliance Certificates ZIG16001ZB330001-24 for the ubisys Universal Dimmer D1 and ZIG16002ZB330002-24 for the ubisys Shutter Control J1 were issued last month. Zigbee Alliance Certificates for the ubisys Gateway G1, Power Switches S1 and S2, Router R0, Control Unit C4, USB Adaptor U1, Universal Dimmer D1-R, Shutter Control J1-R, Power Switches S1-R and S2-R were issued last week.
